What we do together

My therapy practice provides a place for students (18+) and young adults and professionals to unburden their stress, overwhelm, and exhaustion. I encourage you to bring your full self into the space.  Sometimes, it can feel like your life is a perpetually cloudy day. My approach in therapy helps you to be able to recognize when the rays of sun come through, and the hope is that you will start to live more sunny days than cloudy days. By giving attention and building in connection to yourself, you will “see more sunshine,” rise in your confidence, self-assuredness, and self-love. With those changes, you will begin to attract positivity, love, healthy relationships, daily motivation, and the ability to shape the life you desire. Your ability to make decisions will come more easily, because you’re leading from a place of clarity, and you simply need to listen to yourself to find the answers. I will help you hone and refine this skill, so you can lead the life you want to live.

I bet you feel that you have this untapped power within you - maybe it is not yet accessible. In our work, you will learn to touch into this power, this life force, and embody it to live more fully; to be rooted while growing in the direction you desire.

My approach includes working within an Internal Family Systems informed lens. The idea is that we all have different parts of ourselves, and we have an essence, or our “self.” If you’ve seen the movie Inside Out, you might understand this idea. Our work together will include getting to know these different parts of you, and giving them the love and attention they crave. I also integrate psychodynamic theories, mindfulness based theories, and interpersonal theories. I strive to maintain a feminist based, anti-racist, intersectional, and social justice oriented framework.

I typically see clients for 50 minute sessions weekly, for anywhere from 8 sessions to ongoing long-term therapy.
